Mitzi is a 2 year old female Mastiff Cross. She came to us as her owner didn’t have time for her. She had not received the socialisation and training a puppy should receive and so was worried about everything. Once she started to trust us, we saw glimpses of her true personality, a fun loving, super affectionate, cheeky pup who is just eager to please and craving love and belonging. We all adore this sweet girl but being a brindle, bully type she constantly gets overlooked which makes us sad. Since being with us, she has come on beautifully both with confidence and with her basic commands.
We noticed that she had an odd gait recently, which when investigated turned out to be a luxating patella, her knee cap which wasn’t sitting properly and kept painfully popping out of place. She had surgery to repair this and now after rest and recouperation, our sweet lady is back up for adoption and ready for a new life adventure with a loving new owner.
Mitzi is looking for an adult only home with experienced owners who can continue her training and help her to become the brave, happy girl she longs to be. She likes other dogs, although her manners are not always the greatest around them and she may enjoy sharing a home with a canine companion.
